Children who live in the South Euclid-Lyndhurst City School District and turn 5 on or before August 24, 2026, are eligible to register for kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year. If your child does not meet the age cut off, you can explore Early Entrance to Kindergarten or consider the South Euclid-Lyndhurst Preschool Program!

Kindergarten Welcome Event
We hope you will join us for our first ever Kindergarten Welcome Day on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Greenview Upper Elementary. While not mandatory, this open-house style event is a great way to get to know the district, meet your new principal, get to know your PTA, receive a few fun giveaways, and more!

Whether this is your first Arc in the family or you’re already part of our SEL Schools community, we know that preparing for kindergarten is both exciting and sometimes a little overwhelming.
The district has created a Back-to-School webpage to help families prepare for the August return to school. Here you will find school times, start dates, supply lists, and other helpful information to prepare you for the school year. This page will be updated at the end of the current 2025-2026 school year and throughout the summer.

Balanced Instruction
- HMH Into Reading and enVision Math 2020 build strong early literacy and math skills with fun, interactive lessons and allow our youngest learners to be active participants in their own growth.
