Safety & Security
The SEL Safety and Security Department works in collaboration with law enforcement from South Euclid and Lyndhurst to ensure the safety and security of schools and school properties. The department is committed to a high level of professionalism, visibility, communication, and cooperation.
A security staff member is located at each of the district’s schools and works with the staff and students to create a safe, supportive school climate. Safety Services include behavioral expectations, positive interventions/supports, psychological/counseling services, and violence prevention programs.
Families are encouraged to speak with their children about the importance of taking responsibility for maintaining a safe school environment by reporting potential problems to school officials and resisting peer pressure to act irresponsibly.
