Brush Sophomore Creates Logo for Brush’s Yearlong Centennial Celebration
The start of the 2026-2027 school year marks the beginning of a yearlong celebration – the centennial year of Charles F. Brush High School!

Brush opened its doors in January 1927, which means the Class of 2027 will be the 100th graduating class in the school’s history. The district recently hosted a logo design competition, giving students an opportunity to design the logo that would commemorate the special year. With more than 800 votes, Brush sophomore Cyan Evans won the competition!
Her winning logo adorns t-shirts, mugs, and other swag that will be widely available throughout the year.
“Thank you for sharing your gift with us,” Superintendent Dr. Dominick Kaple told Cyan at the Aug. 18 Board of Education Meeting. “Thank you for putting in the work, thank you for creating this unbelievable logo, and thank you for sharing your talent with us every day.
“Please know, your work has officially become part of Brush High School history.”
Kaple added that he will be working with Weston Hurd LLP, the district’s legal representation, to help Cyan copyright her logo.
