Assessments & Testing
A variety of assessment tools are used throughout the school year to support the educational development of each student and to monitor their individual progress over time. These assessments help educators make informed decisions about instruction and ensure that every child is receiving the support they need to succeed.
Some assessments are standardized and required by state or federal regulations. These assessments play a vital role in evaluating the overall performance and progress of our district.
In addition to standardized tests, teachers also administer Common Assessments at the conclusion of instructional units. These are aligned with the district’s core curriculum and are used to check for understanding, identify areas where students may need additional support, and ensure that key learning objectives are being met.
The use of both standardized and classroom-based assessments to track student growth, guide instructional planning, and assess the effectiveness of teaching practices is central to the district’s mission. This comprehensive approach to assessment reflects our ongoing commitment to fostering student achievement and academic excellence for all learners.
